LA CURACAO PRESENTS DONATION CHECK TO CHILDRENS HOSPITAL LOS ANGELES
   
In the middle of smiles and applause, La Curacao officially presented a donation check for the amount of $10, 904.53 to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. The funds were raised thanks to the efforts of thousands of La Curacao associates from all its stores. At the event, Jerry Azarkman, Vice President of La Curacao presented the check to hospital executives, who as a token of appreciation gave La Curacao a Thank You plaque on behalf of the children with their own thoughts, signatures and drawings. The event concluded with a tour of the Oncology and Hematology departments as well as a visit to the NICCU.

“We are very thankful with the efforts La Curacao has made to support our children and their families,” said Martha Andujo-Garske, Associate Director of Corporate Relations. “These funds will help keep our hospital mission which is to provide the best quality medical care to our diverse community.”

This campaign is a clear example of La Curacao’s 25-year commitment to the community. “We are very proud to count on associates who share our dream of helping the children of the Latino community,” said Jerry Azarkman, Vice President of the company.

The funds will be used to help find a cure or medical treatment that will improve the lives of children and adolescents who suffer from Cancer and other ailments.
