Last weekend La Curacao celebrated the 2006 Soccer Tournament with the participation of more than 62 teams who competed to obtain the first place. Once again La Curacao was present in the event with the purpose of being involved with the Latin community by supporting the development of the young Hispanic athletic abilities. The unexpected participation of many teams forced to leave out of the competition at least 20 teams. Therefore, La Curacao has decided to increase its collaboration in the next tournament by duplicating the number of soccer fields in which the games will take place. With these new soccer fields La Curacao pretends to reinforce in the young people the values of friendship, effort and competitiveness that are need in the practice of a sport such as Soccer.

The young athletes also had the opportunity to enjoy different activities and performances organized by La Curacao. The performance of the magician Mr. Alex and the dances of Brenda Ramirez catch a special interest of many of the young people. The players and assistants also enjoyed the inflatable structures around the field that entertained them between each free time of the games.
With its participation, La Curacao supported the organization
SCYSO in its mission to provide to the Hispanic youth an environment where they can develop themselves as individuals and athletes through soccer.
As a respectable member of the Hispanic community, La Curacao promotes different familiar events each year and it sponsors several organizations without lucrative purposes. Our intentions are to help the Latin community to stay healthy, active and strong.
