In 2004 and for the first time in history, a young Mexican band was selected to participate in the Tournament of Roses Parade. Since then, La Curacao has joined Noticias 34 Univision to start a campaign to help cover the costs of the different bands from each region of Latin America that are invited to participate in the Rose Parade. The purpose: to promote the music and young talent from Latin America. The first Tournament of Roses Parade was held in 1890 in Pasadena, California. The biggest and most popular parade in the United States is held on every New Year day. The parade is rebroadcast in various local, national and international television stations with thousands watching the allegoric cars.
