La Fundación de La Curacao para los Niños agradece sus donaciones y apoyo al Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.





Los niños hospitalizados, sus madres y hermanos recibieron regalos y disfrutaron de música y actividades en un evento organizado por La Curacao para celebrar el Día de la Madre.

Todos los fondos recaudados fueron entregados directamente al Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.
 

The Community Assistance Program provides direct assistance to very needy children by donating basic home products. The program also assists the community by providing donations to established non-profit organizations, schools and churches as requested.

 
Leticia, referred by Pediatric and Family Medical Center, is a married mother whose husband works at a factory drying fabrics. They live with their six children using a garage as their home. The home contains a very old stove, which works occasionally, and requieres Leticia to reconnect the gas hose every time she has to cook. The newborn baby sleeps in his car seat because he doesn't have a bed, to sleep in. His siblings sleep on mattresses lain on the floor. They also don't have a dining table.

La Curacao is also involved in ensuring the well being of the children in our community. by improving their social and academic education.

Annually we produce many programs and events that create a positive impact on children. Children break for lunch during Career Awareness Day.
 
La Curacao provides families with Emergency Identification Cards as a public service.
 
One of these beautiful twin sisters affected with cancer celebrates an afternoon with TV star Daniela Aedo, from "Carita de Angel". Appearance facilitated by the Community Assistance Department.
 
Annually we produce many programs and events that create a positive impact on children. La Curacao stores offer a free computer Lab where children have the opportunity to learn basic computer skills.
 
Students participate in the "Be a Star" incentive program where they redeemed stars to win prizes and materials for their school.

Rosalinda, referred by Community Counceling Service is a single mother who lives with her two children. She escaped her abusive husband, leaving her home without anything. After living in a shelter, Rosalinda's family was able to move into their own apartment containing a few basic items. The children were without beds and a dining table. La Curacao provided the family with a bunk bed and a dining room set.
